Sussex County is a place worth fighting for. That’s why the Sussex County Democratic Committee exists.
We’re a group of Democrats from all across the county — from the beaches to the farmland — who believe Sussex County deserves better representation, more accountable leadership, and elected officials who reflect the people who live here.
Who We Are
SCDC is made up of the Democratic Committee Chairs from each of Sussex County’s 10 representative districts. We’re not a think tank or a political machine. We’re local people who show up because we care about our community.
We meet every fourth Monday of the month to organize, plan, and support the work of building a stronger Democratic Party in Sussex County.
What We Stand For
We believe working families deserve a fair shot. We believe every eligible voter should have their voice heard. And we believe that change starts locally — in county council chambers, and state legislative seats right here at home.
Get Involved
You don’t have to be a political insider to get involved — you just have to care. Whether you want to attend a meeting, volunteer on a campaign, or just find out what’s happening in your district, we’d love to hear from you.
The Sussex County Democratic Committee (SCDC) is made up of the Representative District Democratic Committee Chairs in each of Sussex County’s 10 RD’s.
SCDC meets monthly on the fourth Monday of the month, if you are a registered Democrat and would like to attend, RSVP to desussexdemocrats@gmail.com with your address, we will respond with meeting location and other pertinent information.
